Our story

Two jars, one studio

Julie and Louise come from different corners of the country. We ran into each other in Ghent, and have shared everything ever since: a studio, a calendar full of orders, and a cupboard full of thread in every color.

What started with one drawing on one table is now our own studio on the Rooigemlaan. We still draw and embroider every piece ourselves, and we only embroider a drawing after you have approved your design.

There is a story behind almost every order: a first birthday, a dog you miss, a group that has been going to camp together for years. That you entrust this to us remains the best part of our work.

Louise

Louise draws all the designs. She turns your photo into a drawing, line by line, until it really looks like you. She answers your messages, keeps this website up-to-date, and has a soft spot for gifts and groups.

Julie

Julie once wanted to sell socks with boobs, hence the name Tice Nits. Today, she sits at the machines and embroiders your order down to the very last stitch. As a photographer and videographer, she also captures the most beautiful images of our work.

A trip through time

From one table to a studio

Louise is laughing in a black T-shirt with embroidered boobs, the first design by Tice Nits 2021 The drawing of the boobs During the pandemic, Julie drew two boobs. We thought it would make a fun design for socks. Embroidery on socks turned out to be particularly difficult, so we opted for t-shirts and sweaters instead.
Our first small embroidery machine at work on a grey hoodie 2022 Our first embroidery machine Embroidering a single design took up to twelve hours back then. With our hearts in our throats, we bought our first embroidery machine, and that’s when the first orders started coming in.

Our studio in Ghent

From one table to an entire floor

First a table, then a cabinet, then a room. Today we have an entire floor with the machines, the stock, and our offices. We have embroidered small texts and large designs for Father's Day, youth groups, and companies, and have taken our machines to many events. In the meantime, we have been able to make over 5,000 customers happy.
