Terms of service

1. Who we are
Tice Nits is a trading name of Goossens-Dillen BV, Rooigemlaan 437, 9000 Gent, Belgium. Company number 0771.300.943, VAT BE0771300943. You can reach us at info@ticenits.be or via WhatsApp on +32 492 61 16 32.
2. What these terms apply to
These terms apply to every order on www.ticenits.be and to every quote we prepare. By placing an order, you agree to them. For groups and businesses, arrangements in a quote may differ from these terms; in that case the quote takes precedence.
3. Prices and offer
All prices are in euros and include 21% VAT. You will see the shipping costs before you pay. Photos and designs on the website show examples: every piece is made by hand for you, so small differences from the photo are possible. An obvious mistake in a price or description is not binding on us.
4. Your order and your design
Your order is final as soon as your payment has been confirmed. For a drawing (line drawing, coloured-in photo or pet), we first create a design that we send to you by email. You can approve it or ask for small changes until you are happy. We only start embroidering after your approval. Text, logos and handwriting are embroidered exactly as you supply them, without sending a design first.
Please check everything carefully: names, dates, spelling, colours and placement, both in a design you approve and in the text, logo or handwriting you enter or upload with your order. What you approve or supply is what we embroider. Mistakes in it are not covered by our guarantee.
For products with fast delivery, we do not send the design for approval first, so that we can ship within the week. This is stated on those product pages.
5. Photos, logos and texts you supply
You confirm that you are allowed to use the photos, logos, drawings and texts you send us, and that they do not infringe anyone else's rights. We may refuse an order if the content is offensive or unlawful, or if an image is not suitable for embroidery. In that case we will refund you in full.
We only use the photos you send us to make your order. See our privacy policy for how long we keep them.
6. Handmade work and small differences
Embroidery is a craft of thread and fabric. A thread colour can look slightly different on fabric than on your screen, and the placement of an embroidery can vary slightly from piece to piece. Fine details from a photo are simplified into a drawing that embroiders well. Such small differences are not a defect.
7. Embroidery on your own clothing
You can also have your own clothing embroidered. This is done entirely at your own risk. Every fabric reacts differently to embroidery: it may shrink, stretch, get small holes or marks from the embroidery hoop, or discolour. We are not liable for such damage, or for the loss of your garment, except in the case of intent or gross negligence on our part.
We may refuse a garment if we think it is not suitable for embroidery. We agree the price and delivery time with you in advance.
8. Payment
You pay online when you order, using the payment methods shown at checkout (including Bancontact, Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay and Google Pay). For groups and businesses, payment by invoice is possible, as stated in the quote.
9. Delivery
We ship to Belgium, the Netherlands, France, Germany and Luxembourg. Collection from our studio in Ghent is possible by appointment. Delivery times and rates are set out in our shipping policy. A delivery time is an estimate, not a guarantee.
10. Right of withdrawal
Personalised products are made especially for you. Under the law (Article VI.53, 3° of the Belgian Code of Economic Law), you have no right of withdrawal for them and you cannot cancel or return them. For blank items and gift cards, you do have a 14-day cooling-off period. How this works is explained in our returns and guarantee policy.
11. Guarantee
You are always entitled to the 2-year legal guarantee on defects that were already present on delivery. If something is wrong because of a mistake on our part, a manufacturing fault or damage in transit, we will remake it free of charge. How to report this is explained in our returns and guarantee policy. Wear from use, washing against the care instructions or your own repairs are not covered by the guarantee.
12. Photos of your order
We are proud of what we make. By placing an order, you give us permission to show photos of your finished piece and of the design we created for it on our website, in our newsletter and on social media. We never mention your name.
Photos in which you or someone else can be recognised are only shared if you give us separate permission.
The drawings we create remain our work. You may use them for your own non-commercial purposes.
13. Groups and businesses
For group orders and workwear, we prepare a quote. The order starts after your written agreement and after the design has been approved. Prices, quantities, delivery time and payment are set out in the quote.
14. Liability
Our liability is limited to the amount of the order concerned, except in the case of intent or gross negligence. This does not limit your statutory rights as a consumer.
15. Privacy
We handle your data with care. Read our privacy policy for all the details.
16. Questions, complaints and disputes
Do you have a question or complaint? Email info@ticenits.be or send a WhatsApp message to +32 492 61 16 32. We will reply as soon as possible. If we cannot resolve it together, as a consumer you can contact the Consumer Mediation Service (www.consumentenombudsdienst.be). These terms are governed by Belgian law. For disputes with businesses, the courts of Ghent have jurisdiction.
